Hi, I’m Lily!

My role as a special needs parent has given me new insights in teaching and learning, which I am sharing with you in Off the Blox.

I empathise with families going through the rollercoaster of emotions when searching for the best support for their children. I understand some of the struggles encountered during this journey and, whilst waiting for support services, you can help your child to get off the starting 'blox'  with their language.

Off the Blox is my response in reaching out to people and in continuing to investigate ways to improve outcomes for patients, their families and community.

My dream is for a world that is more understanding, accepting, and inclusive. I am passionate about advocating for neurodiveristy and inclusion.

I am hugely grateful for the support and encouragemet received form my colleagues, and for the speech & language therapists, SENCOs, teachers and families who have already joined the Off the Blox project.

I can't praise Jonathan highly enough. His skills and professionalism make Off the Blox achieve the highest standards in graphic design. Jonathan's unique style brings the characters to life and the chidlren and adults love them.

I hope you enjoy the stories! Happy reading!

“I was diagnosed with autism at the age of two and a half. My parents adopted an early intervention learning methodology. This gave me a huge boost, and I was able to progress through specialist schools and college to complete a University degree in Graphic Design through the University of Kent.

I am thrilled at the realisation that our Off the Blox books will help kids from many backgrounds to get off to a great start.

I hope you like the illustrations!”
